      • As an Navy man from the Vietnam Era I remember the USN Mark 1 Navy Deck ould be.Knife. This knife is a far better knife than th Navy Issue ever was. This knife had it's origins in the 1930's huning knives found in the field and farm of the day. The Mark 1 was secifically engineered as a knife to be serve primarily on deck rigging..It remained in Navy inventory (and service on ships) until 1975 when the Mark 1 was ultimately removed frm service. Ths version of the venerable Mark 1 is the best I have ever owned. Every man should own one of these modern versions. It doesn't get any better than this.

      • Ordered as a Christmas gift for myself, the Mark 1 is an incredible knife. Blade came razor sharp out of the box and has maintained it's edge very well through moderate hiking/camping use. The leather stacked handle is gorgeous fits very well in the hand. In addition to being a high quality, made in USA knife the Kabar Mark 1 is also a replica of the Mark 1 distributed to US Navy personnel during WWII. By purchasing you're not only getting an incredible knife, but a little piece of history as well.
